A New Chapter for Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary

 

Since our humble beginnings in 2018, Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) has been a beacon of hope for farm animals in need. Our journey started with the rescue of six goats saved from slaughter, and over the years, we’ve provided a safe haven for numerous animals, offering them love, care, and a second chance at life.

As we reflect on our progress, we recognize the need to expand and relocate to a facility that can better serve our growing family and enhance our mission. This new chapter is not just about a change in location; it’s about reaffirming our commitment to animal welfare, the environment, and community engagement.

Due to restrictions imposed by our current rental agreement, Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) is unable to host visitors or conduct on-site fundraising events and even limits our ability to rescue more animals in need of our help. This limitation hinders our ability to engage directly with our supporters and the broader community, as well as to generate essential funds through events.

Our planned relocation to a new, permanent facility will eliminate these constraints, allowing us to welcome visitors, host educational tours, and organize fundraising events on-site. This move will not only enhance our community outreach but also provide additional revenue streams to support our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals.

Enhancing Animal Well-being

The planned relocation of Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) to a new, permanent facility will significantly enhance the well-being of our resident animals. The expanded space will provide them with more room to roam, encouraging natural behaviors and reducing stress. Additionally, we will build a medical barn. This facility will provide on-site medical attention for all animals, thereby reducing stress associated with transportation to off-site clinics.

 

Community Engagement

The new location will also foster increased community involvement. With the ability to host visitors, FFAS plans to develop comprehensive educational programs aimed at raising awareness about animal welfare and environmental conservation.

These programs will cater to schools, community groups, and the general public, providing hands-on learning experiences that inspire compassion and stewardship. Furthermore, the expanded facility will offer more volunteer opportunities, allowing individuals to actively participate in animal care and sanctuary operations. By engaging the community in these meaningful ways, FFAS aims to build a network of informed and dedicated supporters committed to advancing our mission.

To support the Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary’s relocation and expansion project, we are offering a range of giving levels that allow donors to contribute meaningfully while receiving lasting recognition within our new facility. Each contribution will be honored with a personalized plaque, serving as a testament to your generosity and commitment to animal welfare.

Capital Campaign Giving Levels

  1. Founder’s Circle – $100,000 and above
    • Pavilion Naming Rights: Name the central pavilion, a focal point for community gatherings and educational events.
    • Recognition: Prominent plaque displayed at the pavilion entrance.
  2. Sanctuary Benefactor – $50,000 to $99,999
    • Memorial Garden Fountain: Dedicate the serene fountain within our memorial garden.
    • Recognition: Plaque placed adjacent to the fountain.
  3. Community Patron – $25,000 to $49,999
    • Educational Center Room: Sponsor a room within our education center, fostering learning and outreach.
    • Recognition: Plaque mounted at the room’s entrance.
  4. Habitat Supporter – $10,000 to $24,999
    • Animal Enclosures or Gardens: Support the construction of animal habitats or themed gardens, such as the pollinator garden.
    • Recognition: Plaque displayed at the respective enclosure or garden.
  5. Stewardship Partner – $5,000 to $9,999
    • Picnic Tables or Benches: Fund the installation of picnic tables or benches throughout the sanctuary grounds.
    • Recognition: Plaque affixed to the sponsored table or bench.
  6. Pathway Contributor – $1,000 to $4,999
    • Stepping Stones: Contribute to the creation of personalized stepping stones leading through the sanctuary.
    • Recognition: Each stone engraved with your chosen inscription.
  7. Friend of the Sanctuary – Up to $999
    • Donor Wall Inclusion: All contributions up to this amount will be acknowledged on a collective donor wall within the sanctuary.
